- My name is Ji Ho (Geo) Yang, and I am a SESEC research fellow from the UW! Currently, I am on my doctoral journey focusing on racial and local analysis of school resources in Black urban schools. Before this journey, I was a Chicago Public School teacher in the historic South Shore and Chatham neighborhoods. There, I taught primary and middle grades, along with coaching girls track and field. My hopes and dreams are to expand my capacity to support transformative work in both grassroots and political contexts, empower local stakeholders of schools (i.e. families and students), and reimagine the landscape of education for our community.
